Excel Racing National Series Secures Major Backing from EFS 1280 853 Hi-Tec Oils Super Series

EFS 4×4 Accessories has signed on as the major sponsor for the Excel Racing National Series, which will kick off as part of Round 3 of the Hi-Tec Oils Super Series at Queensland Raceway, 2-4 June.

The EFS brand is well-recognised in the motorsport arena, having supported Ryal Harris in the SuperUtes and Touring Car Masters categories, and also partnering with the Track Attack Australia Queensland Excel Cup.

EFS Excel Racing National Series category manager Brett Peters said the introduction of EFS further boosts what is shaping up as a mega inaugural season for the multi-round Excel competition.

“EFS are well-known for their sponsorship of Ryal, but they’ve been a big supporter of our Queensland-based Track Attack Excel Cup, and they’ve also been heavily involved in other motorsport activities such as the Gen 3 Experience Camaro ride car qt Queensland Raceway,” Peters said.

“We’re thankful they’ve come on board for the national Excel series and their support will enable us to further enhance the professionalism of the series in its first season.”

Some of the very best Excel racers from around the country have already committed to the opening round of the EFS Excel Racing National Series, including multiple Australian champion Cam Wilson, Victorian front-runner Hugo Simpson and Queenslander Ryan Casha, who dominated the Excel support races at the Hi-Tec Oils Bathurst 6 Hour.

The series will run to the same technical regulations as the Track Attack Australia Queensland Excel Cup, meaning competitors are permitted to run coil-over suspension systems from an approved list of suppliers, and all cars will run on Nankang control tyres.

“Being a grass-roots motorsport category where competitors are learning about car setup, we wanted to provide a degree of adjustability, so we’ve permitted the installation of coil-over suspension systems from common suppliers such as Supashock, MCA and XYZ,” Peters said.

“The Nankang control tyre is used extensively in Europe and it’s highly-regarded – it performs consistently throughout its lifespan and it has proven to be durable enough to last multiple rounds.”

After commencing at Queensland Raceway, the EFS Excel Racing National Series will also appear at the Sydney Motorsport Park and Calder Park rounds of the Hi-Tec Oils Super Series.

Also running at the Queensland Raceway event will be the TA2 Muscle Car Series framed by Hytek, QLD Production Cars, QLD Porsche Cup, QLD Heritage Touring Cars/Group N, Replica Tourers and Australian Trans-Am.

The Hi-Tec Oils Super Series, is a six round, AASA-sanctioned series that’ll take in three states (NSW, QLD and Victoria) and the Northern Territory. The Series is managed by the Benalla Auto Club (BAC) will be headlined by the TA2 Muscle Car Series, with support from The Mazda RX8 Cup Series, Hyundai Excels Series, Australian Super TT, Legend Cars Australia, Stock Cars Australia, Queensland Trans-Am, Replica Tourers, QTCC, HQ Holdens, Superkarts and many more.
