Top End Drift Series to Support Hi-Tec Oils Super Series Round 2 at Hidden Valley

The Top End Drift Series is set to make a big impression at Hidden Valley Raceway in Darwin when it supports Round 2 of the Hi-Tec Oils Super Series from 29 April-1 May.

The Top End Drift Series will include demonstration runs followed by Round 2 of the Top End Drift Series, in which Darwin’s top drifters will be adjudicated on their drifting skills by a panel of expert judges.

Drivers to look out for include Jacob Martin (who won Round 1), Ben Candy, Paul Seidel, Club President Mitch Doyle and young up-and-coming drifter Jack Botting, who finished a career-best fourth in the opening round of the series.

Hi-Tec Oils Super Series manager Stephen Whyte said the cross-pollination between drifting and circuit racing will benefit the entire event.

“Drifting is an important commercial property for our naming-rights sponsor, Hi-Tec Oils – in our first round at Winton, there were demonstration runs from a couple of the Hi-Tec All Stars Drift competitors, which were well-received by the spectators,” Whyte said. “By incorporating the Top End Drift Series into our Hidden Valley program, the drift competitors will be exposed to our circuit racing audience, while drifting fans in the Northern Territory will be treated to a sample of national-level circuit racing.

”The drifting will support the circuit racing categories on the program, which include the TA2 Muscle Cars, HQ Holden Crocodile Cup, Hyundai Excel Dash for Cash, and Australian Super TT Championship/NAMSC Combined Sedans.Don't miss the chance to see some exciting drifting action and high-speed circuit racing at Hidden Valley Raceway.
