Street Party to kick-start the 2025 Super Series

Ahead of the Hi-Tec Oils Super Series opener this weekend at Winton Motor Raceway in country Victoria, the series will visit the local town of Benalla for a Thursday night street party.

The event will take place on Mair Street in the centre of the village from 4pm-7pm this Thursday (February 27), and features a whole host of activities, including meet and greets with the drivers and competitions.

The street party is a first for the Super Series and will be free to attend for all.

Some of the stars and their racing cars will be on the Mair Street tarmac. Drivers include Tabitha Ambrose, the up-and-coming daughter of former V8 Supercars champion and NASCAR Cup Series race winner Marcos.

As well as opportunities to get autographs and selfies with the drivers, fans will be able to get up close to the cars from all seven racing categories.

Several TA2 cars will be on display as well as a Formula Ford, two Innovation Race Cars, a Legend Car, Hyper Racer X1, multiple Super Tin Tops and an Excel.

It won’t just be racing cars on display, there will also be a road car display with rare and exotic vehicles to see.

Prizes can be won in a variety of competitions that evening, while food and drink vans will be on site with various offerings available to purchase.

Hi-Tec Oils Super Series Manager Carolyn Oldano is excited about the maiden edition of the street party, and believes it is the perfect way to start the racing season.

“The Benalla town event is a first for the Hi-Tec Oils Super Series, especially with the visit from the mayor,” Oldano said.

“It’s a great opportunity to bring the cars to the community, showcase what Winton Motor Raceway has to offer, and let everyone get up close with the drivers and their cars. It’s a fantastic way to build excitement ahead of the weekend!”

The on-track action commences on Friday, Saturday and Sunday’s action will be broadcast live on SBS Viceland, SBS On Demand, Kayo and Fox Sports from 1pm-5pm AEDT. The Hi-Tec Oils Super Series Stream runs from 10am-5pm AEDT both days.

A Saturday ticket to attend costs $20, Sunday $30, or a 2-day pass for just $40. Friday attendance is free for all, while the entire event is free if you are under the age of 16.
